My friend told me that snails can see from nearly 100 yards away from them and that it was a genetic mutation for being so small, is this true?

yes, yes it is. In the year 2015 they will use this power to their advantage, what your friend does not know that the increased ability to see is only part of their power. They also have the ability to control our minds. 2015 they will take over the world, and torture us by throwing salt at us, (the bad part is when it get in our eyes)
