Cat Eye Lights are Crap
This is a message to Cat Eye, and a warning to everyone else. Cat Eye lights are really poor quality...yet cost the same (or more) than their competitors. Everyone I know who has had a cat eye light, has either had the bracket break or the light break. Both through typical use, not after a spectacular crash, etc. Cat Eye, if you want to charge a premium price, give us a premium product which lasts! Don't try and save a little bit of money in vital areas. Most cyclists will be happy to spend over the odds for a decent set of lights - especially now we are coming into winter. I don't mind paying more for a Cat Eye over another brand; but I do when they have a worst reliability than of a cheap Chinese light of eBay. A lot of companies build in obsolescence, so you have to replace items. Lights are a vital piece of safety equipment - not a dishwasher! Most cyclists will buy new lights every few years anyway. Especially as the technology gets better, smaller, etc. Cycling is on the rise at the moment, so the market is growing. You're not going to have your product recommended to new cyclists if you don't sort these basic issues out! So cyclists, this is a bit of an experiment. Please post video responses about problems you have had with cat eye (and good points, comparisons with other products, etc) and let's try to get them to do something about it. Cat Eye, your lights are bollocks. Not the Dog's Bollocks.
