eye infection? My 13 year old Beagle's eyes have always been a bit runny from time to time, but it's always watery. I'm noticing today, though, that one eye is more watery than normal and there is a little whitish goo in it. Could this be some kind of eye infection? Has anyone else's dog experienced this?

Dogs can experience eye irritations just like us. Infections can occur from dust and pollutants in the air as well. Any veterinarian can give you eye drops to help clear up the problem.

my dog has the watery eye and every one in a while he gets the goo. What i would do is just get the goo out of the eye with either a washed hand or anything that will do th job and not hurt the eye. if the goo comes back within a few days after cleaning it, i would just call up a vet and ask.

It probably is an eye disease called Imperforate Lacrimal Punctum. This is when the draining system is not properly draining the tears making the eyes tear up excessively but it could be some other eye infection and I suggest taking him to a vet.
