can opthamologist purposely damage your eye so you can go back?ok i might be weird and paranoid, but i went to a opthamologist eye doctor today and he shine a very bright bright white light in my eye for like 15 minutes to make me look up down, left right to check the back of my eyes. it is possible for them to purposely damage your retina so you can go back for visits so they can make more money? scare!!!!1
yeah but what happen if they new doctor that just became doctor and not board certifize yet, but have their state liscene to practice, still safe? maybe im just paranoid, they did an indirect ophthalmoscopy test on me, and the bright white light just freaking the shit out of me, i heard bright light can burn your retina

You are incredibly paranoid. The procedure to described is very common and will not cause any damage to your eyes. Plus, doctors have sworn an oath promising never to intentionally cause harm to their patients. Lastly, the consequences of getting caught doing something like that are so severe that basically no doctor would ever attempt it.
