Can you help me with this...?My laptop stops responding whenever I run Google SketchUp 6 - pressing the Power button doesn't work. I've installed it twice and decided to just uninstall the program.

Why doesn't it work, though?

And here are my laptop specs.
-Intel Pentium Dual Core T2130
-1MB L2 Cache, 1.86GHz, 533MHz FSB
-SIS M671MX + SIS 968
-1GB DDR2 Memory
-80GB SATA Hard Disk Drive
-SIS Mirage3 Graphics
-NEO VisionCare 12.1" WXGA TFT LCD
-802.11 b/g Wireless LAN
-10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet LAN

So why is SketchUp not working on my laptop? Am I not meeting the system requirements? I'm not much into computers, so I don't know what I'm missing.

You didn't mention wheter you run XP or Vista...

I think it is because you do not have the amount of memmory you need. The requirement is 2gb mem and you only have 1gb. This must need the mem to load up.

They have mentioned about recommended requirements..

Here :

Recommended configuration:

* 2 GHz Pentium® 4 processor or higher
* 2 GB RAM
* 500 MB of available hard-disk space. 15GB for Vista.
* 3D class Video Card with 512MB of dedicated memory.
* 3 button, scroll-wheel mouse



Recommended configuration:

* 2.1+ GHz G5/Intel™ processor.
* 2 GB RAM
* 400 MB of available hard-disk space
* Graphics card that is OpenGL compliant with 512MB video memory.
* 3 button, scroll-wheel mouse

Minimum Hardware Requirements with Microsoft Windows® 2000, XP Home or Professional Editions:

* 600 MHz Pentium® III processor
* 128 MB RAM
* 128 MB of available hard-disk space

Minimum Hardware Requirements with Microsoft Windows® Vista:

* 800 MHz processor for Vista Home Basic. 1 GHz processor on other Vista versions.
* 512 MB RAM for Vista Home Basic. 1 GB RAM on other Vista versions.
* 15 GB of available hard-disk space.


It means you don't have recommended requirements..
but you have minimum requirements...

I think that's the prob...
