What camcorder should I get?I'm looking for something that will look good on a big projector (but it doesnt have to be HD, I just don't want a hardcore compression camera, or one that naturally has a lot of grain). So quality. Next I need something with night vision capabilities, I mean the green light stuff. Night vision can look horrible, I don't care so much about that. Format wise, either Mini DV or removalbe storage (like an SD). NOT one of those mini DVD crap or a hard drive. Also, does a camcorder that uses SD cards compress like hell?
So:
quality, nightvision, miniDV/SD cards, widescreen capabilities.
As if that wasn't tricky enough, obviously try to keep it low $ $ . Under $ 300 would be great, $ 400 is my absolute max.
Thanks so much!

I got the canon fs100 a couple of weeks ago, and it is absolutely awesome. The visual quality is great and has;
45x advanced zoom
2000x digital zoom
Digital image stabilizer
2.7" LCD screen
etc.
Choice magazine, who are incredibly reliable, said it was the 4th best standard def camera on the market, and all the others were very, VERY expensive. I got it for $ AUD 430 at the Good Guys, an absolute bargain. It's an excellent size, weight, and a generally very nice camera.
The only problem is the low light visual quality is not great, but it does have an inbuilt light which fixes everything. I recommend it strongly.
There are other kinds, like the fs10 and the fs11, which are HDD (Hard disk drive), which are exactly the same, just with 8GB and 16GB internal hard disk space, and the fs11 has 48x advanced zoom. The other two have 45x.
