Which optical or ophthalmic companies in the UK would have a marketing budget to spend in terms of advertising?I'm project managing a 16-page publication called Vision and Eye Care that's being distributed via The Guardian newspaper on 17th November. I can decide whether it will be a B2C or B2B publication but at this moment in time, I'm findning it very difficult to get any advertisers on board. The publication is hugely targeted and will be full of contextually relevant journalism looking at innovations in the sector but, so far, all the companies i've contacted are interested in the premise but keep saying they have no budget at all. Are there any new optic businesses emerging who may benefit from this form of advertising or can anyone suggest companies that I may have missed? I've tried all 4 of the UK's main high street opticians (D&A, Vision Express, Boots, Specsavers) and the major players like Ciba, CooperVision, Bausch & Lomb, Grafton, AMO, etc. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.
